happy december first.

so, today is december 1st. the first day of my VERY favorite month of the year. i love EVERYTHING that it is.

i love advent. the anticipation of the christ child. i can't wait until brady can really understand what that means. {besides saying 'happy birthday jesus'}.

i love all of the christmas parties. i love dressing up in holiday gear {although this year it will be quite different fitting into things...} and the feeling of 'mixing and mingling to a jingling beat...'.

i love all of the holiday goodies. i love making them and i love receiving them.

i love decorating for christmas. it was different this year... and my mom helped a lot the week she was hanging out with me & charlotte... but i love it. i still have a bit to do, and it probably won't REALLY even be done until we take it down, but i love every inch of it. {and yes, glitter IS all over my house in december...}

i love what it means for family. i love all of the special times with family that it brings. extended & immediate. i love the fireplaces and the popcorn tins. i love the candy canes, christmas lights & christmas music.

i love it all. 

so.... this year... {drumroll please....} i'm documenting it all.

all of it. every day.

and it will be a challenge. but i'm up for it. i figure it will be good to get out of the newborn fog and do something that stretches my creative side in a new way. i'm ready to dust off the cobwebs & get to work on this book.
