the littles.

well.

LOTS has been going on in the leach household the past several weeks.

some great stuff. i mean, really FUN stuff.

painting, drawing, picture taking, baking & birthday celebrating.

and then, some really yucky stuff. life & death stuff. relationship stuff. touchy stuff. confrontational stuff.

yucky yucky yucky.

but isn't that how life goes? sometimes... and really, just recently, i have been feeling like life is going FULL.SPEED.AHEAD around me. and i can't seem to catch up... or even enjoy it, because it's going so fast!!

my prayer this week, is that i would SLOW.DOWN and RELAX.

this really hit me hard, when i got home from b's birthday party and realized i had only taken a few pictures of the birthday boy - and only ONE of us. and that one was blown out & unusable. someone pointed out that i must have just really been enjoying the party - but i don't even feel like that! it just happened so fast!!! i was torn between my camera, my family, my friends & my littles. so. i will post pictures that i have later this week. but i'm still trying to get over the disappointment. :) all the little details that i so enjoyed putting together, i won't have pictures of to show brady's wife brady someday. i'm thinking of how i can 'mock' some of it up again.... hmmmm.....

it was a great party though.

i know that, because the little boy that it was meant to celebrate keeps asking me "member we went to my birt-day pary last week?" love.him. he was halfway bashful of the attention and halfway BASKING in it. made my heart melt.

in other news......

a few weeks ago, i was on a mission to recreate the FABULOUS burger i had at HONDO's while we were in fredericksburg. while i was searching for recipes, i stumbled upon this recipe.

i sent it to a sweet friend who has a hubby who is an au-gratin potato snob. sorry, parker, there's no other way to put it. after i sent it to her, i kept thinking about it - and had to make it.

brady got pajamas from his aunt katie and soon-to-be-uncle trent for christmas. he's never been interested in the matching slippers until last week. so.cute.

being silly.

he's really into sunglasses now. i get a huge kick when i look back and he's all of a sudden got them on. with no prompting on my part or complaining on his. he's just staring out the window. like a big boy.

where did time go?

i've mentioned our new love for nascar recently. love.it. the race on sunday was awesome. that's two weeks in a row with an UNBELIEVABLE finish. the race is here this weekend. ahhhh..... it's a night race. yaya!

he's our main man.

little miss has been ready for some time now for a little 'snack' in the afternoon. whew. i'm ready for puffs.

anyway. i finally sat down and gave her cereal last night.

she took to it great. no mess or anything. {she's ALL girl, huh?}

but it still didn't satisfy her. ugh. so i ended up feeding her half of her bottle early, so she'd be tolerable while i finished dinner, and then half later.

not at all like her big brother.

which, by the way. may i just mention? i know that lil' miss's heart is soon going to belong solely to her daddy, but for right now? her first love is her big brother.

like, for reals.

we can't make her giggle. but he can. when we can't get her to settle down, he can. i love it.

and here she is, again this morning, getting ready to take b. to school... i was trying to get her to look at me and smile for a pic, but she was just mesmorized with her big brother.

i know it won't last forever, but i will take what i can get.

our precious littles make my heart swell.
