A Texas Tradition

This afternoon, after the roller coaster that was the Cowboys game, 7 of us piled into one car and we headed down south to the State Fair. Yes, it rained and yes, it was cold - despite what we all thought on our way down there. But yes... the food was GOOD. Between all of us, we ate 4 corn dogs, a slice of pizza, tornado taters (my favorite), fried snickers, fried oreos, 2 corn-dog cheeses (awesome), and a funnel cake. B. had some of the tornado taters but other than that we brought his own snacks... and he had fun eating just like the rest of us. He especially loved the Midway and watching the people scream on the brightly lit rides. We even danced to a MJ song while we waited for Josh and Jeff to get our fried desserts. The rain could have been a damper, but we made it work. We tried to wait in line for the cookie dough three times, but each time it was at the same place as the fried butter - and the line was 20 minutes long or MORE! For Fried Butter? Please... has anyone eaten this? What does it taste like, because to me, it sounds gross!!!! Thanks to Mr. Josh and Miss Kaytie for sharing your "season pass" with us and driving us all down there! We had a lot of fun!

Unloading the car...

Josh with his leftover coupons from Saturday's visit...

The Bug was not sure what was about to happen...

Brady LOVED it when Big Tex talked. He was absolutely fascinated with him.

B. enjoyed a long piggy back ride from Mr. Matthew...
