my little sis.

last saturday i hosted a bridal shower for my little sister.

she's getting married in june.

 

one month from tomorrow, to be exact.

and i can't believe it!

we had 40 people. at my house. i cannot believe everyone fit!!

i love hosting, the planning is actually my favorite part. the only thing is.... i can kind of become a mad woman. a "i-can-do-this-all-by-myself" person. but i can't. ever. it never fails there is a meltdown of some sort. and this time was no exception.

 

three of katie's sweet bridesmaids hosted with me. and they brought excellent food. we had plenty of it, too. yumm.

oh - and loot. she got so many gifts. i think we were all overwhelmed at everyone's generosity that showered over my sister. {pun intended..... wait, i guess that's why they call it a shower?!}

all of the bridesmaids got katie {and trent} her dream vacuum.

yes, it's the ridiculously expensive dyson. 

one you'd never ever EVER buy yourself.

but when eight people think you're pretty special, and combine their efforts, you're happy to receive it!

geeze, i hope it lives up to two years of built up expectations.

and afterward? we had the lingerie & bachelorette party. just the bridesmaids {minus sweet stacy who is in california! boo.}

so. much. fun. but so. tiring!

we asked trent to {secretly} get her some lingerie. whoa. we kind of thought he'd be 'tame' since we were all going to be there. nope. it was so funny. and because i don't want to embarrass her, i won't show it here. but let's just say it was sort of 'costumey'.

we also played a great game. we each brought a pair of panties that 'represented us' in some way. and she had to guess. it was cute. and fun. something new.

we stayed at the marriot in legacy town center. we went to fireside pies and then to sambuca 360. yeah. that's not. my. scene. i'm more of a honky tonk kinda girl. but we had fun. dancing and singing. pretty fun stuff. we did see some cougars. actually, a lot of cougars. {and if you don't know what that is - look it up}. some of the things we saw made me have the heeby geebies! ick.

we took katie to get her nails done sunday morning. it was fun. i'm so excited to celebrate her & her marriage soon! it's an honor to be her sister!
