i heart saturdays.
they usually begin with "sleeping in". which normally means 7:30 - ish. and MOST of the time, the hubbs gets up with the kids {even though i realize that it's his weekend too... i promise} and i don't roll out of bed until around 8.
the littles & the hubbs are usually upstairs still, watching mickey mouse or something fun. i silently fix a cup of coffee and take a few sips before going upstairs to say good morning.
in general, jeff will either take b. to go get donuts OR go get donuts and bring them back for him.
while c. takes her nap... the boys start mowing.
brady's favorite thing to do. he asks all week when it's time.
even when it's 105 degrees outside. at 9:00.
i love that brady wants to be just. like. jeff.
it makes my heart melt.
how he watches him. closely. and tries to do everything he does. say everything he says.. everything.
i know that this puts a lot of pressure on jeff. to be a great example. {and sometimes, he uses this 'power' to get brady to say 'inappropriate' things... not bad necessarily... just things that i, as a mommy, would deem 'inappropriate'}
but what jeff doesn't know, or - you could say - what i don't tell him enough, is that i pray that brady ends up just like him.
i pray that his heart is as big as jeff's. that he has jeff's passion. that he has his strength. and his character. his work ethic.
oh yeah there's the stubborness and strong-willedness stuff too... but you know what? i think that's just fine. it's that fight that builds character, right?
i am certainly blessed with my sweet boys.

I just bought a little lawn mower on sale at Target for $6. I know he won't use it for a long time, but doesn't every little boy have to have a mower so they can be just like their Daddy!!
