tradition.

at christmas time every year since the hubbs and i've been married {and even some years before that}, we've gone with some of our oldest and dearest friends to patrizio's in h.p. they're christmas lights are stunning - and even though we all live in frisco this year, we decided it just wouldn't be worth the trade to go to the plano location.

it was well under freezing, but the guys convinced us to sit outside, and the waiters surrounded us with space heaters. they're food is so yummy and if you've never experienced it, i can say with confidence that you're missing out. ahhhh.... my tummy is still full! toward the end of dinner, our toes were getting a bit cold {okay, a LOT cold} but our faces were definitely warm - i even took off my coat to cover my legs because my top half was warm, but my bottom half was feeling like a popsicle!

we have always gone to starbucks to get a warm drink before heading out to look at the h.p. {or turtle creek} christmas lights, and this year was no different. can anyone tell us why they got rid of the salted caramel hot chocolate? we were all so sad that they didn't have that this year. we passed several carriages and i bet it was absolutely miserable for those people, it was so cold. we were so thankful that we were packed into a warm car, listening to delilah. {it did take all night long for my toes to thaw out, i might add}.
