project life. may.

may 8 - may 14

not crazy about how this one turned out.

i think it's the orange card on the yellow paper {on the right insert}.

or maybe it's how the in-n-out cut out looks. it's kind of annoying.

but i try to think of it as a "let's get this week done & move on" thing... and that's what i did.

this is why i love project life.

a place for my "special" artwork.

i've been sort of picture happy lately. so i often have these inserts so i can add an extra six pictures.

right now i just use an 8 1/2 x 11 page protector and then sew the end.

but i think i need to get some of these so i won't have to go through that hassle.

i do love the right side of this week.

i guess it just 'feels' right.

may 15 - may 21.

i lost my picture happy streak this week.

and i knew i had the wedding that weekend, so it could fill up the whole week if i needed it to.

again, i try not to think of it as a picture-per-day 'project'.

my goal is simply to give an accurate portrayal of what our life is looking like right now.

kind of like when i try to remember what j & i did before our littles arived.

we can't.

and i so wish that i had something like this to just give me a slight picture of how it was.

so that we could reminisce. ahhhh.....

this invitation was too beautiful to stay on the fridge forever.

wouldn't you agree?

and that's it.

project life. two weeks. done in a little over an hour. {while watching t.v. late at night}.

sometimes i feel inspired. sometimes i don't.

in this case, i started out just trying to get it done... and halfway through the process i started to feel good about it.

i find that my favorite layouts/pictures/notes are ones that are done when i'm going fast and not thinking too in depth about it. i like more of the chicken-scratch going on than the neat & tidy look.

maybe that goes back to wanting it to give an accurate picture of life. messy is definitely more accurate than neat & tidy.

hmmmm....

one more note this week. i like to use my stapler. way more than i like my glue stick or any other adhesive. it's fast, easy... and i kinda like the way it looks. ain't gonna lie. again - more messy than neat & tidy.
